Balloon Rise is a balloon-climbing game: every pump adds a balloon and lifts you higher. Pump on the rooftop, float up into a paper sky, and see how far your bouquet can carry you before the last balloon pops.
How to play Balloon Rise
Pump balloons on the rooftop to lift off and float up into the sky.
Steer past pigeons, kites, storm gulls, zap bolts and paper planes. Every hit pops balloons.
When the gas is used up and the last balloon pops, you parachute down, and every metre pays coins.
Spend coins on upgrades and climb again. The sky changes as you rise: Kite Park, the Cloud Shelf and the Storm Belt, the Thunderhead, Jet Lane, the Aurora and the Stratosphere, a runaway Satellite in Low Orbit, and the Moon Gate into the deep sky.
Climb to the Last Lantern at 44,000 m and light it to finish the climb. After that, chase your Lantern record (the fewest flights) or start a Hard sky: the same climb, harder each time and paying more.
Controls
Keyboard and mouse
- Click anywhere to pump a balloon; move the mouse left and right to steer.
- Keyboard: SPACE (or W, Up or Enter) to pump, A/D or the arrow keys to steer.
- ESC opens Settings.
- In the shop, press Buy for one level, or hold Buy to keep buying.
Phone and tablet
- Right thumb: tap the PUMP button.
- Left thumb: drag left and right to steer.
- Phones play upright; tablets play either way.
Tips
- The upgrades each do one job: a stronger Pump and a bigger Gas Tank, Helium, Thick Rubber against hits, a Coin Magnet, Auto Pump, a Bubble Shield and more Bouquet Slots. Buy for the thing that ended your last flight.
- Grab stars on the way up. They open crates of collectible balloons, from Common to Mythic, and each balloon has its own power.
- Pick your best bouquet before a big climb: the right mix of balloon powers can matter as much as another upgrade level.
- When progress slows, rebirth for moon rocks. They buy lasting perks in the Moon Shop.
- Hold Buy in the shop to spend a big balance quickly.
