What it is
Freeplay is a home for fast, social browser games. Every game runs in the page — on a laptop, a phone or a tablet — with nothing to download. Open a game, share the room code, and whoever has it lands in your match.
Playing is free and an account is optional. Signing in with an email link keeps your saves, scores and purchases with you across devices; guests can play everything without one.
Who runs it
Freeplay is run by Jacquard Games, an independent studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. The studio makes its own games and publishes them here first, and opens the arcade to other creators through a publish command that works from inside a coding agent.
The games
On Freeplay right now — each game page carries a full guide: how a round works, the controls and tips.
- WARPAINT — Paint the map, hold the ground. Territory war for up to 8 warlords, in the browser.
- WOBBLE LEAGUE — One verb: hold to charge, release to lunge. An endless disc, KOs, streaks, hats you earn.
- WhaleWars — Eat, grow, and hunt in the deep. A fast free-for-all in the browser — up to a whole lobby of rivals, with a survival mode when you want to go it alone.
How games are checked
Nothing reaches a player unchecked. Every uploaded build is virus-scanned, checked against a list of known-bad patterns, run for thirty seconds in a locked-down browser, and reviewed before it is served. A build that fails is never shown, and its creator is told why.
Games run on their own address, in a sandboxed frame, under a content policy that blocks every server the creator did not declare. A game cannot read your account; it only ever sees the display name you chose.
Players can report any game from its page. Reports are reviewed, and a game that breaks the rules is taken down.
How it pays for itself
Freeplay is free to play. It is paid for by short ad breaks around the games where they are switched on, optional purchases inside some games, and a Pro plan for creators. Creators receive 70% of the net revenue their games earn. Players under 13 never see ads. The details are in the terms and the privacy policy.
