LANTERNFALL arrived on Freeplay on 11 October. Ten lantern-towers stand on a ring of floating islands around the Void, and every night the Murk march toward them. One lantern is yours.
Between waves you roam the islands gathering light to grow. Your Keeper evolves through twelve forms, and every form swings a longer, brighter sword. Bank your light at the lantern to upgrade it, then hold your bridge when the dusk bell rings. Every tenth wave a boss rises from the Void and walks the whole ring.
Nobody fights another player in LANTERNFALL. If a neighbour's lantern flickers, a beam of light shows you where, and you can choose to help. AI Wardens fill the empty seats and a new night starts every twenty seconds, so there is never a lobby to wait in.
