Balloon Rise is on Freeplay
Pump balloons, dodge the sky's hazards and climb to the Last Lantern at 44,000 metres.
Balloon Rise is our newest game, and it is live on Freeplay today. Every pump adds a balloon and lifts you higher. Steer past pigeons, kites, storm gulls, zap bolts and paper planes, and when the last balloon pops, parachute down and collect coins for every metre you climbed.
The climb runs from the rooftop through Kite Park, the Cloud Shelf, the Storm Belt and the Thunderhead, across Jet Lane and the Aurora, into Low Orbit and through the Moon Gate. Light the Last Lantern at 44,000 metres to finish it, then chase your Lantern record or start a Hard sky.
Launch day was mostly about phones. Over the day we reworked the touch steering so your thumb moves the balloon one to one and never sticks at the screen edges, kept PUMP on its own button so steering and pumping never fight, and set phones to play upright.
There are 24 collectible balloons, from hearts and stars to dragons, comets and galaxies, each with its own power. The full guide is on the game page.
